Offsite Construction

Offsite construction refers to the planning, design, fabrication, and assembly of building elements at a location other than their final installed location.  The same materials are used and the buildings are designed to the same codes and standards as conventionally built facilities – but in about half the time.

In a world driven by cost and speed of delivery, offsite construction can be a fantastic option. It is well documented that modular off-site construction methods hold the potential to solve the UK's crippling housing shortage.

However, it is not without its risks – think of the work at height and cranage issues as a starting point.

Safety Smart are currently working with several offsite construction companies on a nationwide basis assisting with implementing health and safety systems both on site and in their manufacturing facilities. Clients include the offsite giant CIMC-MBS, Eco Modular, ilke Homes, Osco Homes and Extraspace Solutions.

In such a fast-moving and hazardous environment you need access to pragmatic and cost effective advice.
